Knowing that this was all working toward my final work for university, I knew this work would be that much more detailed than anything we've done before. This involves a lot of research (pretty obvious given the title of the module), a lot of looking into what I would be doing for my final major project, planning it now so that I would have the best outcome in the end, all basically putting a plan and timetable together for what will be starting after Christmas for the final semester.
My first idea for what I would like to shoot was based around the idea of power. I intended on gaining access to the offices of powerful people, CEO's, Directors, MD's etc. Having put this idea across in the feedback sessions at university, I quickly realised that this idea didn't really have the potential I was seeking, I think looking back on it, I already had a preconceived idea of what I wanted my images to look like in my head, but in real life they really wouldn't have worked out like this.
There would also have been a lot of other restrictions on getting this idea going, the overall time I have to shoot, gaining the access to these people, obviously they're very busy people who's time costs money, they're not going to be welcoming in letting me, a student, in to their offices to take their photo....
Ah well, back to the drawing board...
